I asked my wife what should reside in this scene and, thus, we have a feline sunning herself in a rather lively fantasy landscape. I worked with a mixture of cadmium orange and thio violet. I then tossed in a few faint washes of viridian and ultramarine blue.
I probably spent a fair bit longer than I normally would, but I struck upon some nice color relationships and transitions that I wanted to keep playing with.
Layout of the sketchbook continues and is nearly finished. I think it is going to be a fun flip-through when all is said and done.
Onwards to the day’s labors!
